We know what money should look like, what its attributes there should be -- it's all very clear, only that we have not found anything that will qualify, so we are playing around with poor replacements. When you have only poor replacements for something you are looking for then you end up switching between these replacements, and every time you switch you manufacture fake excitement that this now will be it -- the thing we are all looking for.
The right thing to do is to use the replacements that we have in fair proportions with ample caution and forward reservation while putting our main effort into looking for a genuine fulfillment.
In other words we are looking for "God's money". I believe that someone, somewhere has been inspired to come up with fair money that reflects true value, and perhaps they have been summoned to the mountaintop, like Moses was at the time. Alas, while the prophet of fair global digital money is preparing their message, the people below, like the Israelites at the time, are clamoring around the Golden Calf called bitcoin, celebrating and dancing around as if it is God's money. Soon Moses will step down from the mountain holding the tablets that mint God's money and when he finds out that his people are dancing around the Bitcoin golden calf, he would smash the mint. When we pick up the pieces, it's not the original, but perhaps close, BitMint.
